UNICAM GEOLOGY 

UNICAM Geology is part of the School of Science and Technology, the largest of the University of Camerino, with its five departments (Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Geology). It occupies a modern building, the Geology
Center, recently renovated to best address the ecological transition (thermal insulation and energy efficiency), with large indoor and outdoor spaces for students and faculty, and immersed in a pleasant natural setting.
 
The three-story building houses classrooms, the Aula Magna, and the offices of the School of Science and Technology Directorate on the ground floor. The geology teaching laboratories, equipped with collections of teaching materials, are dedicated
to lectures and exercises on minerals, rocks, fossils, cartography, photogeology, optical microscopy, and GIS. The first floor houses the faculty offices and research laboratories, the paleontological collection, and a study area. The basement floor
houses the technical and research laboratories, offices and the Geoinformatics laboratory available for lessons, exercises and individual work by students on their theses, as well as the space made available to the university spin-off Geomore srl.
 
Since 2019, UNICAM Geology has been home to the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) and also hosts an ENEA office.

By car:
From Rome, Florence, Naples >> Take the A1 to Orte, then continue towards Terni, Spoleto, and Foligno (SS77) until the Serravalle del Chienti exit. Continue for 10 km to Camerino.
From Bari, Bologna >> A14 to Civitanova Marche. Take Highway 77 to Macerata to the Camerino exit. Continue for 9 km to Camerino.
